St George |
After the death of George Guy PRATT, Kate CHAMBERS married Herbert Henry WYATT. One of John George's children couldn't pronounce WYATT and so she became known as Granny Wires.
Daisy May told of her Grandmother's death. Kate was carrying a tray of food up to Ria who was in bed after the birth of a baby. She put her foot out to push the door open but it didn't and she fell backwards down the stairs and never recovered from the fall. The cause of death on her death certificate confirms the fall downstairs.
